The Colchester Visitor Information Centre (VIC) is the tourist office for Colchester, situated in the heart of Colchester's historic town centre, within minutes of award winning museums, great shopping and a wide variety of places to eat and drink.

Following our re-opening from COVID-19, we ask the following:
- The centre is a small area so we ask you to be patient and observe social distancing, both while waiting and in the building
- You may be asked to wait outside. Please wait until called forward.
- Only one group, up to a maximum of 4 persons, allowed in the centre at any one time
- Face coverings must be worn. We regret we will not be able to admit anyone not wearing a covering unless they are exempt under the guidelines
- Hand sanitiser is available on you way in
- For the safety of customers and staff we are encouraging cashless payments
- Screens are in place around our desk and till
- PLEASE NOTE - Hollytrees Museum remains closed. You will be able to access the Visitor Information Centre only.

- Assistance in finding accommodation;
- Finding and booking local events and guided tours;
- Help with travel plans and public transport information;
- Free information on the rest of Great Britain;
- Access to wheelchair users and people with disabilities as well as pushchairs;
- Booking day trips with local coach operators;
- Shop with locally made gifts and quality souvenirs of Colchester;
- And much more!
VisitColchester Gift Shop
The VisitColchester Information Centre, situated in the beautiful Georgian Building Hollytrees House, has a fantastic gift shop selling a wide range of Colchester souvenirs, localy crafted gifts and famous Wilkin & Sons Tiptree Jam.
