Rowhedge is a small village located 3 miles to the south east of Colchester. 

Nestled on the banks of the River Colne, Rowhedge was once a busy port and hub for shipbuilding

Rowhedge today is a thriving rural community with a village pub, shop and doctors surgery as well as many woodland and riverside walks.

In the summer months Rowhedge is connected to Wivenhoe across the river by a foot ferry

The annual Rowhedge Regatta is held every summer.
