Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
This competition is promoted by Visit Colchester in partnership with Greater Anglia, Colchester Events and GreyFriars Hotel.
2. Eligibility
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over. Employees of the promoter, partners or anyone professionally associated with the competition are not eligible to enter.
3. Entry period
Entries must be received by the stated closing date. Late entries will not be counted.
4. Prize
One winner will receive a prize for two people including:
Two general admission tickets to see Bastille at Castle Park, Colchester on 23 August 2026
One night’s accommodation at GreyFriars Hotel, Colchester on 23 August 2026, including breakfast
Return train travel for two to Colchester with Greater Anglia
5. Prize conditions
5.1 Event tickets
Tickets are for general admission only
Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for another event
No cash alternative is available
5.2 Hotel stay
The stay is valid for 23 August 2026 only
Check-in and check-out times are subject to the hotel’s standard policies
A refundable security deposit may be required on arrival
Any additional costs incurred during the stay are the responsibility of the winner
The hotel’s standard terms and conditions, including cancellation policy, apply
5.3 Train travel
The prize includes a return Greater Anglia travel pass for two people to Colchester. The travel pass is valid for travel on Greater Anglia services only, is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative.
The travel pass must be claimed at least one week before the intended travel date to allow time for it to be arranged and delivered.
6. General prize terms
The prize is non-transferable and must be accepted as offered
No cash or alternative prize will be provided
The promoter is not responsible for any costs not explicitly included in the prize
If the event is cancelled or rescheduled, the promoter is not liable for any resulting costs or losses
7. Winner selection and notification
The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries
The winner will be contacted via the method used to enter
If the winner does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, an alternative winner may be selected
8. General
The promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time
