Camulodunum to Colchester Guided Tour
Our most frequent and popular tour is the Camulodunum to Colchester guided walking tour. While you may know Colchester's Roman history, do you know about the other events that have shaped the city?

The Camulodunum to Colchester Tour runs every Saturday at 11am, and also Bank Holiday Monday (26th August) at 2pm.

Daily Guided Tours at Colchester Castle
If you're already planning to visit the historic Colchester Castle, you might enjoy one of their tours.
Not only will you venture down to the foundations of the Temple of Claudius, one of the most notable buildings targeted in the Boudiccan revolt, but you'll also travel up the Great Stairs to the Castle roof, where you'll see an unrivalled view of the city.
These tours run on the hour in the afternoon and can be booked on arrival with the front desk. The tour is not included with Castle entry and must be purchased separately, but it's definitely worth it!
The imposing Colchester Castle stands on the ruins of one of the most important buildings destroyed in Boudicca's Revolt: The Temple of Cladius.
Leafy Lexden
Just beyond the City centre, you'll find Lexden. This historic and beautiful part of Colchester is now home to popular restaurants and many beautiful houses, but dates all the way back to the Domesday Book, where it first appeared as 'Lexden Hundred'.

There are two of these tours running over the summer, on Wednesday 31st July and Friday 30th August at 11am.
Delightful Dedham
Pull on your walking boots to explore beautiful Dedham set in the heart of Constable Country. Discover the village architecture, links to John Constable, and it's magnificent "wool" church. This nature-driven tour takes place on Saturday 10th August at 2pm.
Not only is the village architecture visually interesting, but the Dedham Vale is also an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so don't hesitate to extend your time in the village beyond the tour to see everything on offer.
While you're in the area, you might have time to enjoy a leisurely boat trip down the River Stour!
