We're making a list and we're checking it twice! To make sure you don't miss out on the best Colchester has to offer this Christmas, we've compiled a run down of upcoming festive markets happening in the City Centre.
It doesn't matter if you've been naughty or nice, theres plenty of opportunity to find interesting and unique gifts for your loved ones this Christmas in Colchester...
25th November- Folk & Bespoke Craft Fair @ Firstsite - Artists and makers will be taking over Firstsite for this market full to brim with lovely handmade crafts made by artisans from across Essex & Suffolk
26th November- Colchester Market Trail - The trail will link the 'Festive Market and Street Food Festival' on the High Street and the 'Christmas Gift & Craft Market', which this year moves from Colchester Town Hall to Firstsite.
2nd December -Level Best Enterprises Christmas Market- Hosting local artists & makers, and also selling seasonal produce like jams and jellies made in house by their trainees along with affordable artwork and gifts.
2nd December- Made in Colchester Maker's Market @ Comm 360 Hub - Returning to the community space in Long Wyre St, the Made in Colchester collective will be offering up the best of their handmade wares
2nd December- The Colchester Farmer's Market will have around 30 stalls on The Piazza outside The Mercury Theatre, selling a fantastic range of local produce including honey direct from the beekeeper and fresh apple juice and loose apples.
8th & 9th December - Colchester Makerspace Christmas Market - The members of Colchester Makerspace will be opening their doors for 2 days to show you what they've been creating throughout 2023
10th December - The Minories Festive Market - This beloved Colchester landmark re-opened its doors in 2023 & we are happy to see that they are organising what promises to be a sensational arty Christmas Market
10th December - The Colchester High St Christmas Market - Over 80 stalls will be spilling out into the High Street in this festive event organised by InColchester, and we've heard there will also be a funfair!
16th December - The Colchester Christmas Evening Market - From the people that bring you Colchester's monthly Farmer's Market, a special festive evening market in The Piazza outside the Mercury Theatre promises to be a delicious affair!
There are also festive markets happening in almost every village surrounding Colchester including: Langham, Great Bromley, Wivenhoe, Marks Tey, Flatford and many more!
