A GHOST STORY FOR CHRISTMAS: THE STALLS OF TARCHESTER

About

Written by Darren Gooding Performed by Damien Bell and Darren Gooding
Music by Darren Tansley and Tina Gooding

The twisted imaginations behind "Poets Day" and "The Adventures of Bentley Strangetrousers", return for their now traditional (and extremely silly) evening of ghostly nonsense in a tale of festive terror inspired by M.R. James.

Pour yourselves a large glass of sherry as medievalist, antiquary and genial fear monger, Montague Roads Jim, exhumes another Ghost Story for Christmas. Listen in English dread to the cautionary tale of the ambitious Dr. Baines; whose perennially thwarted ecclesiastical ambitions turn to thoughts of murder when the ageing Archdeacon Poultry refuses to do the decent thing and expire naturally... Expect increasingly outrageous attempts at homicide, unlikely supernatural retribution and some awfully naughty woodcarvings...
