Colchester's oldest Art Gallery. A listed Georgian building, The Minories is of local importance within the historic city of Colchester.
The Victor Batte-Lay Foundation, over the years assisted by the ‘Friends of The Minories’ support group, have ensured the building be used to present art for the community of Colchester and visitors to the city.
The Minories is home to The Commons Cafe and Community Kitchen.
The Minories is next door to Firstsite, Colchester’s contemporary art space, in the centre of the city's cultural quarter.

By Road:We are 5 minutes walk from Colchester town train station and Colchester's pedestrian shopping centre and 30 seconds walk from Castle Park.Coming from either Colchester bus station or Colchester town station follow Queen St towards the Castle Park. Before you get to the Castle Park you will see a side entrance to the Minories which is signed. If coming from the High St please follow the road to end, we are on the right hand side just past the Castle Park.The nearest railway station is Colchester Town, which is 0 miles away.
