Celebrated 12th century apsidal church with magnificent colour medieval wall frescoes cleaned and restored in the 20th century. The paintings show a strong Byzantine influence in content and design and were uncovered from behind a coating of 16th century whitewash.

A church has stood on the present site since around 1130 AD. Noted as architecturally interesting, St Michael & All Angels is situtated in a pretty woodland setting. Guided Tours followed by refreshments, can be provided if required. Phone in advance for advice on coach parking and group visits,
