The Importance of Being Earnest

Details

Join foppish bachelors Jack and Algernon on their latest Bunburying exploits replete with mistaken identities, icy women, trivial banter and of course, muffins!

Prepare your cucumber sandwiches and spend the evening in the glorious setting of Marks Hall, enjoying one of literature’s most trivial comedies for serious people…there’ll be handbags at dawn!

Your tickets allow access to visit the Gardens & Arboretum from 2.00 pm on the day of the performance, a wonderful opportunity to explore the striking landscape at Marks Hall.

The performance will take place at 5pm in Pound Field, situated near the Visitor Centre and the performance area will open from 4.30 pm. There is no seating provided but you are welcome to bring low–backed chairs, rugs and a picnic if you wish. Gazeboes are not permitted. Please be advised that the performance will take place whatever the weather so please dress according to prevailing conditions. The Visitor Centre will be open both before the performance and during the interval serving hot and cold drinks and ice-creams.
