Salary Brook Local Nature Reserve

Salary Brook nature reserve is near Scarfe Way, off Avon Way, Greenstead, Colchester.
It runs from Bromley Road to the A133. Salary Brook runs the entire length of the reserve.
There is a network of grassed footpath with a hard surface joint pedestrian/cycle path parallel to Avon Way.
There are two children's play areas, conservation grassland meadows and 3 fishing ponds. There are sections of wetland (the area is a hot spot for water voles) with open farmland along the south end border of the reserve.
