A Colchester hot air balloon ride is a truly memorable experience.

Your ballooning adventure will start from the Ardleigh Showground where you'll have the opportunity to help prepare the balloon for flight, by helping to inflate the balloon, before taking to the skies. You'll enjoy gorgeous panoramic views as you drift peacefully through the skies, well apart from the burners that is! Be sure to have your camera at the ready to take plenty of photos to look back on.

As you drift skywards you'll see magnificent sights. Maybe it'll be Colchester Castle or even the Roman Circus Centre, the only one known in Britain. Whichever way the wind takes you, you're sure to be treated to fantastic views, it's not everyday you get to see the world from a bird's eye view!
You'll be in the air for around an hour before landing. You'll then have the chance to help deflate the balloon (always a lot of fun!) before joining your fellow passengers for a prosecco toast to round off the experience in style. You'll be transported back to the launch site and back to your cars.

Morning and evening flights are available throughout the ballooning season of March to October, on weekdays and weekends.

Please be aware that ballooning is a weather dependent activity so your flight may be cancelled if the weather conditions are not suitable for flying. If this was to happen, you'll be able to rebook your vouchers onto another flight.
