in 2020 the annual Heritage Open Days festival returned to Colchester in a different, digital, form.
For many years Colchester has welcomed visitors on Heritage Open Day to enjoy the town's wide range of historic and heritage venues opening their doors and welcoming crowds of keen historians, curious locals, and day-tripping sightseers inside. However in 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic sadly meant such luxuries were not possible and instead a wonderful array of Heritage Open Days content was presented online.
