Father's Day Steam
Unlimited Steam Train Rides
Come along this Father's Day for Steam Train Rides, where one of our full sized steam engines will be operating, hauling the vintage Freight Train. Also in operation will be the Miniature Railway. You can also have a go if you wish (or get Dad to have a go) on our Pump Trolley.

Bring along Dad, Grandad and all the family for this fun filled day. As an extra addon for this event you can Drive a Diesel for £15 – prebooking for this is essential as numbers are limited. Find out more from our Drive a Diesel page.

We operate unlimited rides between 10.30 – 15.30, the Museum opens at 10am right through until 5pm.

Check out our working Restoration Shed, the magnificent Victorian Goods Shed, period Waiting Rooms & Signal Box as well as the Heritage Centre & Train themed Childrens Playground, our site of over 10 acres is ideal if you would like to bring your own picnic.

EVENT TIMETABLE
Our trains run all day long with no fixed timetable from 10.30 to 15.30, and you can have as many rides as you like, whenever you like. We open at 10.00 and close at 17.00.

ON SITE CATERING
Feeling Hungry? You can visit our award winning Platform Two Cafe – they're open from 10am – 5pm and serve tasty breakfast, lunch & snack options, as well as coffee, tea & a range of cold beverages.
