About

Celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the Marks Tey to Sudbury line and Chappel & Wakes Colne Station.
A special weekend of celebration for the anniversary of the Marks Tey to Sudbury line.
2024 marks 175 years since the Colchester, Stour Valley, Sudbury and Halstead Railway opened the railway line, and Chappel and Wakes Colne Station, where we are based.

On Saturday 29th June our DMU will be running, and on Sunday 30th June our steam locomotive will be in operation giving unlimited rides – both days the Museum site will be open, and our miniature railway will be in operation.

We will be having lots of other stuff going on – details of which will be available soon.
