Castle Park

Summer Screen 2016

Summer Screen is back for 2016!

This year Summer Screen will once again run for the duration of Wimbledon, starting Monday 27 June and finishing with the men’s singles final on Sunday 10 July. Visitors can bring along a picnic, relax in front of the big screen and watch the tennis for free before heading into town to enjoy the rest of the day. There will also be food and drink available from the Café in the Park and stalls and kiosks set up alongside the screen.

The tennis screenings will finish early on 1 July for Pictures in the Park, which has five feature films this time, one on Friday, two on ‘Singalong Saturday’ and a further two on Sunday 3 July. No tennis will be shown on Saturday or Sunday. The programme will feature a mix of popular classics, cult favourites, family-friendly films and highly-anticipated new movies.

The winner of the People’s Choice singalong film for Saturday Saturday afternoon is Beauty and the Beast, followed by the ever popular singalong Grease in the evening.
