Colchester Comedy Festival

Colchester Comedy Festival is back for the forth year running! And this year there are more events than ever. There will be sixteen glorious days  of funny treats and comedy taking place around the town from Saturday 2nd October through to Sunday 16th  October 2016.
There will a multitude of events for all tastes, including stand-up shows at the Colchester Arts Centre, including Jo Caulfield and Shappi Khorsandhi and at The Mercury theatre where comedians Rich Hall  and Miles Jupp will be appearing. At the Headgate theatre there will be comedy theatre including The Play What I Wrote, about that much loved comedy duo Morecombe and Wise. There will be stand-up Comedy Workshops for adults and children at The Minories and the popular Colchester New Comedian of the Year competition will take place over the 16 weeks of the festival. There will be some free D.I.Y comedy shows presented by great local acts at The Waiting Room, plus hilarious films and fun and games at Firstsite art gallery, where the films will include Blazing Saddles and Mr. Beans Holiday.
So, there’s something to keep everyone in Colchester town laughing and happy this Autumn!
