Over 50 years ago, John Wilkin began collecting the paraphernalia of preserve making and Essex village life. The John Wilkin Collection is now jam packed with artefacts! Get a real taste of Tiptree in the building where the famous jam was first prepared. Enjoy freshly made lunches and home-made cakes in our quiet, relaxed tea room or terrace.

As you leave Tiptree, the visitor centre is on your right. Be sure to take the entrance AFTER the red brick wall.The nearest railway station is Kelvedon, which is 0 miles away.
