Professional Concert Hall offering professional and student concerts in the evenings and educational workshops and concerts in the afternoons. Capacity is for 150 but can be extended. Disabled access and licensed bar at all events.

The Swinburn Hall Concert Series offers a broad and varied programme of events to suit all tastes ranging from classical to rock and comedy to avant garde. Visiting artists in the 2009 2010 series include Andrew Ball (piano), Florian Kitt (cello), Phil Miller (jazz), Stephen Fearing (singer songwriter) and our Quartet in Residence the Bingham String Quartet. Performances by members of staff of the Centre of Music and Performing Arts include Tim Pells and Andrew Allen (classical guitar duo) the Dead Rat Orchestra (experimental), Rev Simpkins and the Phantom Notes (blues/progressive folk) and Saucerful of Floyd (rock). The series is underpinned by a wealth of student concerts including the choral, symphonic wind, chamber music and rock. Most professional events have free afternoon workshops.
