Stay After hours at Colchester Zoo

09/11/2011

Ever wondered what goes on at the zoo after all the visitors have gone home? Well, now you can see for yourself by visiting Colchester Zoo for one of the 12 hour summer spectaculars taking place on July 23rd and August 20th, where the zoo remains open from 9.30 am right through to 9.30 pm!

This is a great chance to watch animals like the Amur leopards, Amur tigers, Wolves, Red Pandas, Aardvarks and Anteaters when they get up after the visitors have normally gone home.

The evening timetables are also packed with special feeds, displays and training sessions, including an owl demonstration, a stop the nightmares handing session, crocodile training and an opportunity to visit the ruins of the zoo's church.

Anyone wanting to unwind after the long day can sit by the lake with a nice cool drink, grab a burger at the Tugela Terrace Barbeque or simply take advantage of the great range of good value summer meals at Café UmPhafa.
This really is an amazing time to be at Colchester Zoo with the grounds remaining open for a full 12 hours at no extra charge.
