Colchester Year of Celebration

Colchester Borough Council launched its Year of Celebration facebook campaign on Wednesday 21st December. It's designed to engage with residents, businesses and organisations throughout the Borough who wish to make 2012 a year to remember.

The facebook page, called Enjoy Colchester encourages others to join in and keep up to date of all the new and exciting things happening in 2012.

Nationally there's the Diamond Jubilee plus the Olympic and Paralympic celebrations. But we have our own reasons to celebrate with events such as the launch of the Digital Strategy at the beginning of the year, 21st year of Helpline and all the great work it carries out across the region, plus the return of the Tour Series in June, the numerous cultural Olympiad celebrations topped off by the Treasures of China exhibitions. Colchester Borough Council is keen to hear of other events and celebrations taking place in the Borough next year.
