Fingringhoe Wick Visitor Centre

Fingringhoe Wick Visitor Centre

Voted Britain’s best loved wild mammal the hedgehog is now seriously endangered. Once a frequent visitor to our gardens numbers have dropped to less than one million. Labelled the gardeners best friend, this snuffling, shy and gentle creature is in serious trouble. All, however is not lost. In this introductory course we would like to tell you more about their habits, habitats and daily lives. How you can make positive changes to your gardens and help to increase the population. How to tell when a hedgehog is unwell and some simple things you might be able to do to help before taking it for medical treatment. This course is run by Paula Baker from Suffolk Prickles Hedgehog Rescue, a voluntary rescue based in Suffolk.
