Details

As you walk around the zoo there’s plenty of play areas to try out including the indoor soft play area Jungle Tumble so the kids can release their wild side! Learn more about the animals and see them up close by watching an array of daily displays with the chance to quiz keepers about your favourite animals!

You can even hand feed the elephants and giraffe yourself at daily public feeding sessions and venture through a tropical walkthrough which houses a large group of lorikeets offering visitors a chance to feed them a tasty treat of nectar. Don’t forget to pop into the ‘Sensation Station’ and have a go at handling some furry friends and scaly species!

Take a look at the new Chimpanzee Lookout indoor area on your visit whilst work still continues on their new exciting outdoor enclosure due to open later this year! During your visit you will also be able to stop by Colchester Zoo’s revamped restaurant ‘Penguini’s’ This newly refurbished outlet serves a selection of pizzas and pasta as well full English breakfasts, afternoon tea, freshly made sandwiches and salads.
